eBay: new King 2341 w/case $4,999

Some shipping damage that has been repaired but otherwise new. Pretty good deal, considering these apparently go for like 10k new.

When I bought my 2341 a couple of years ago, I paid close to the same. But although it was designated “used”, it was a show horn and for all practical purposes a new horn. No dents, no damage, valves not even broken in. So, given the damage and the “pretty good” repair, I think the pricing on this one is optimistic. Probably ought to be another 1000 lower.

Repair looks OK to me. Wavy lacquer, patched case... what else am I missing? Maybe some bloke or other could've done it more better-er.

Wouldn't dissuade me from buying at that price were I in the market for a new King 2341, I guess is what I'm sayin'.
