I thought we could have a general thread for these Kings seeing how they're quite prolific.
Here is a pic I posted back on the other site of my old-style 2341. I asked my repair tech to add a water key to the 4th valve loop just as it's exiting the valve. It works great. Almost no need for the King spin. I might add one to the back loop as well. But this takes care of most of the issue.
I remember that some folks were interested in the make of that water key. I asked my tech but unfortunately I don't remember the name now. I do remember he said they're made by a jewelry maker in Spain. Can't forget something like that! Maybe someone here knows who that is.
Another modification I made was to swap out the finger buttons with King sousa buttons. I prefer the feel of the concave buttons more than the stock convex ones.
Also, I switched to the lighter Yamaha springs.
Anyway, can't wait to see what others have done.
Long live the King!

Re: King 124X & 234X Mods
I saw that pic posted a long time ago on TubeNet, that's cool that belongs to you. It's called an Amado key (this one looks a little better built than some i've seen). Here's where I had mine installed on my old 2341. Accessible from the front between the tuning slides or from the back with left hand while right hand pushes valve down and you blow the water out. I chose this spot over that knuckle you have yours on, I guess it would be fine in either or both spots. I've never had to do the spin with or without since I dump alot from the top slides on it's bell.
