Hi everyone
I'm a new member to the forum, but have been a long time lurker and reader. Thank you to all of you who have contributed to this great resource, I've learned a lot here!
There is a B&S tuba that I have found on Facebook marketplace at an unreasonably good price. It may be a scam, but I can't not go check it out just in case it turns out to be for real. I'm pasting the link below, I hope it works... Do any of you perhaps know what model and/or key the tuba is in? I don't see an exact match on their current websote, and Simonetti doesn't have a B&S section under "instruments by maker"...
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/it ... =undefined
I also asked him to send me more pics which he did, and I'll attempt to place google drive links below.

What do you guys think? too good to be true? 2500ZAR is like 140USD...
I'm booking a flight to Cape Town for tomorrow, and I'll report back...If a scam, at least I get a short break in Cape Town for the weekend...if not I'll be sure to annoy you with photos and a further report.
Cheers
J

Re: B&S Tuba
Looks nickel plated.
Is the r/t flight price worth it, you reckon?

Re: B&S Tuba
Hi again
Thanks for your replies.
I have previously heard of someone doing a reverse image search, and it only just occurred to me to try to do the same. While not matching the image exactly, a few hits came up with tubas on a wooden background, one of which show the exact same table, blemishes and all under another tuba on the-brass-shop.com
While it is possible that the seller purchased their horn from the website and is now selling locally, I'm not too optimistic...
If it works out, I will post about it, but I will enjoy a few days in Cape Town regardless!
Thanks for your time
