Don't know if I've ever seen a spoon with a kranz on it.

serious: this tuba is marked W. Meinl-Weston Band Instruments, but NOT "Division of Getzen," so I wonder if the seller's estimation of the age of this instrument is a little off. I'd guess 1960s? Did the Getzen relationship come later?

IIRC, 60s seems about right. It sure looks like it's older than when the seller says.

There were e a few MW tubas pre-Getzen than went through Dillon music like 5 years ago... Those had some fancy engraving on them, and were really nice looking.

Debate time... Is this a MW-20 or 25?

Price and configuration are both good for me... But damn, those spoons would have to go... and that seems $$$
