Sorry, that was me... I left it on auto-play repeat for 4 and a half days straight.

I think every recording should begin with "is it on?"

Wonderful! Took me a moment to realize that if i don't expect an actual bee in the rimsky-korsakov, neither should i expect a clarinet in the clarinet polka.

Did you see that comment that @edfirth left under the video?
Imagine having someone hate you so much (never even met him) that you live in their head rent-free. :smilie7:

...I already readily admitted that don't know even really know - to this day - completely how it goes. :teeth:
LOL... I don't know why Jim's wife stuck that on their YouTube account, but I'll I'll tell you the back story:

Basically, an amazing accordion player that we had worked with for four decades named Bob Westbrook (who was mostly a vocal coach - coached both Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake as teenagers) had died - he was the last and best of the few accordion players that worked in Memphis...(actually knew all the real changes to all the polkas and all of the standards and all the top 40 and all the country and western and all the you name it.) If any of you are old enough to remember the very first reality show ever, the "Ted Mack Amateur Hour", Bob actually made it onto that show...probably played something like "Lady of Spain", etc.

Jim is really mostly a multi-horn guy (mostly all the woodwinds, but some brass and - as heard - keyboard as well) and can play the stew out of the Clarinet Polka, but when some couple at that club requested it, he said that we couldn't play it, because there wasn't anyone else who could fake it on the electronic keyboard while he played the clarinet. His wife was in the band too, and she said "Why don't you get Joe to play it on that weird horn he brought?" (It had just arrived that day via Greyhound from Tom McGrady, and I picked it up on the way to that gig - which began about 5:00, and Greyhound Package Express had been open until 5:00 as well. It was one of those Chinese ones, and I took it out of the car both to show to Jim, as well as to prevent someone from stealing it.) ... so since the couple seemed to know Jim and his wife, I agreed to get the thing back out of the zipper case and see if I could sort of play "at" the Clarinet Polka...so those friends of Jim made a video of it, sent it to Jim's wife, and Jim's wife stuck it on their YouTube account, and with my name. I guess I could have asked them to take it down, but I always thought it was sort of funny... not only the idea of faking one's way through the Clarinet Polka, but on that Dr. Seusaphone contraption, as well. 😉
