Doesn't quite look it to me. I had an old 60s/70s original 46 and it was surprisingly small with a very small bell. This looks like the frame of the later (80s?) MW45.

Yup, a second valve trigger.
The quint valve is interesting. I always forget what the lay down for those lower fingerings will be, but I’m guessing having some throw on the slides is useful.

This is the old model "Walter Hilgers" and you need a 2nd slide trigger for the new quintvalve combinations in the lower register. It's a good sounding tuba, but you need a strong ear! Bore sice is 19.5 to 20.5 mm.
