Mrs. bloke just picked out which mouthpiece (of four that I grabbed up) sounds best with the King sousaphone that I just brought back from the dead.

I didn't place the one that she chose in any particular place in the order; I think it was either #2 or #3. I tried to play my best with all four of them. She picked the mouthpiece that I've always used with sousaphones over the last several years. Sadly, it's one of my stainless steel component mouthpieces (which costs me money, just like they cost anyone else money). I was really hoping that she would choose the gold sparkly $1X.XX Kellyberg, but alas...

Be careful of the more inexpensive RCA cables. I learned that they are completely plastic with only a foil covering to conduct the electricity. I learned because one of the male pins broke off in my amp socket.

Yes it has. I have some nice audio gear, including a pair of KEF speakers on my computer. However, one of the nicest sounding rigs I ever had was a small receiver/speaker combo I bought from Radio Shack many, many years ago. As I remember it, it was a little over $130. It finally gave up about 10 years ago.

' hesitant to appear to be advertising, but my "Imperial" up (which is Helleberg-like - WERE IT THAT any Helleberg mouthpiece cups were "medium" depth, rather than "medium-deep" or "deep"). It just seems to put the right amount of "punch" into the sound of a sousaphone, allow it to still sound broad, but not allow the typical (mouthpieces that are too deep...??) fuzz/mud.

I have ONE saved-back lexan rim (in my preferred rim profile). I screwed it onto that cup.

I is/was my last in-stock Imperials, so now I'm going to have to order another run of them.

Decades ago, I picked up a behemoth (wattage-wise) Radio Shack/"Realistic" transister receiver (thrift/second-hand store - $15)...gawd...amazing....though I'm sure it's not considered to be "audiophile".
