Does anyone know where I would find the serial number on my Conn 80J 4 FA Valved tuba? The bell is marked “80J” and “38”. Dillon Music said it is 218348?
Thanks,

I cannot see any numbers on the valves, but I need to get an inspection mirror to be sure.

It might also be stamped onto the tops of the pistons, under the felts. I don't know if Conn did that but several manufacturers did.
As for 'stamped on the valve section' that is typically on one of the piston casings, usually the 1st or 2nd valve casing.

Some old Yorks, Martins, and perhaps a King rotary valved CC

Yes, you are correct. It is stamped on top of the second valve. Thanks to y’all.York-aholic wrote: ↑Tue Sep 12, 2023 11:58 pm It might also be stamped onto the tops of the pistons, under the felts. I don't know if Conn did that but several manufacturers did.
