What do the differing serial numbers on leadpipe and valve block signify? Repair/replacement? Maybe a 45slp leadpipe? Or is this normal??? The ad doesn't account for the difference.
A 2155S with flight case and a 45slp leadpipe would definitely be worth considering in the $8Kobo range.

The serial number on the valve block is just for that part. The serial number on the receiver is that of the complete instrument. This has been a standard practice for Melton & B&S for years. There is nothing special about it nor does it mean any part was changed from original.
FWIW, I know this instrument and it sounds wonderful. I never played it but sat next to it for a year in the band.
