King 1240/2340 upper bell to body brace

Post by EmptyCase »

Bit out of the blue, but I’m restoring a 1939 hn white king 1240. Beautiful horn, except the two braces that hold the bell on are severed at the flange. I’m confident I can silver solder the bottom one back together and then put it back in, however after two attempts with the top one, it doesn’t want to work with me(probably too big of a gap). If you have one you can take off a parts tuba or one in your parts drawer let me know. Silver is preferred.

I could just make a new foot. But I’m trying to find somthing more uniform since this tuba is in superb condition. Thanks!

@EmptyCase I have both of those on a parts horn. PM me your address.

You’ll have to get them silver plated though. Sorry.
