Would you please start making your adjustable links out of silver colored plastic? My black ones have given me trouble-free silent service for well over thirty years, but - when I croak, and my wife needs to sell my instrument - they just don't look professional.
I have sacks full of German made Minibal links, but those are for customers. I prefer yours.
Sincerely,
- bloke

Re: Dear DuBro,
Yeah.. Those aren't adjustable. I've seen them...Dents Be Gone! wrote: ↑Thu Oct 19, 2023 8:06 am You could go rainbow and be all up to date ‘n stuff.
If I were young - and playing an audition recital for a college teaching job, I would probably put all five colors on my instrument... with all five of the choices symbolizing in-vogue causes within academia.
Re: Dear DuBro,
If I were auditioning with that horn I would make a point of making sure the jury saw my color coded music.

Re: Dear DuBro,
Would you mind sharing which ones you use? There are quite a few to choose from.bloke wrote: ↑Thu Oct 19, 2023 7:22 am Would you please start making your adjustable links out of silver colored plastic? Re: Dear DuBro,
I can’t speak for Bloke, but I’ve used Threaded Ball Link, Heavy Duty, 259. I put them on my old Mirafone 186 over 15 years ago and they’re about thing that hasn’t needed anything but an occasional drop of lube.
