Re: Speaking of Nashville… (mouthpieces)
An interesting thing about that is the one of their mouthpieces is advertised as inspired by the LOUD LM-10 -- but
with a few subtle differences. One of the biggest changes is the switch to brass from stainless steel that was used by LOUD.

Re: Speaking of Nashville… (mouthpieces)
Finding lesser-known makers could become a hobby, but - then - actually buying all that are found could become expensive (sometimes disappointing...??)
For the first time ever (I'm thinking...??) I found the name, "Jerome" associated with a mouthpiece:
https://jeromewiss.com/en/mouthpiece/ba ... signature/
I tried to think of an uncommon name (thus, "Jerome" popped into my head), and typed it into my browser - along with "tuba mouthpiece".
voila!
or (as we say - within a day-trip of Nashville) viola !

.... .... ....
yep...probably why (subconsciously) "Jerome" popped into my head.
Hey...
y'all call me on the phone, and I'll play "double-high" C with some sort of blokepiece and Fat Bastard.
Do it on Thursday - c. 1:30 P.M. C.S.T...just in case one of the Democrat relatives starts talking 'bout stuff.

Re: Speaking of Nashville… (mouthpieces)
My friend and I are actually doing a deep dive into the wild world of Jerome Callet. His former students post the wildest stuff on the internet. @Dents Be Gone!, if you have any first hand knowledge, send me a PM!
I have sourced a number of out-of-print method books by him and some others in that circle.

Re: Speaking of Nashville… (mouthpieces)
No idea about Jerome Callet, but since we're way wide of topic anyway, be it noted that W. Paris Chambers, author of some fine marches particularly including the great "Chicago Tribune March", was a cornet virtuoso who could squeak out some high stuff.
wikipedia wrote:At the turn of the century, Chambers managed the C.G. Conn store in the city of New York, performing impromptu on the cornet for the customers, including fellow cornet virtuosi. His forte was a phenomenally high register ascending to the third high C. He liked to tell his store audience: “It is all really very simple; all you have to do is to develop the muscle in and around the lips, by long hours of the right kind of practice, and anyone can do the same things I do on the cornet.”
