I am posting this on behalf of my friend who is a professional repairman.
This is a vintage Besson euphonium that will eventually be polished and re-lacquered. He wondered if I would post it here to gauge interest. He would like to get around $1000 (post polishing and lacquering) but would hear offers on it as-is. Includes a hard case in good condition. I play-tested it today and it's a very good horn with the usual quirks associated with this model. All valves have 99%+ plating on them with almost no wear. This instrument was stored in an attic for the past several years, hence the patina. All slides move well. Current lacquer is maybe 30%, but relacquering is an option. Takes medium British shank.
Pickup is in Brimfield, MA. I don't think he would like to ship, but I am willing to assist in drop off in the New England/NYC metro area.
Please PM me for contact info. Thanks!

Re: FS: vintage Besson comp. euph w/ hard case
Sad (but understandable) that he doesn't want to ship - I would gladly buy it right now without polishing or lacquering (in fact, I'd much prefer it that way) if I could get it shipped to LA.
I mostly play the slidey thing.
