What finish would you suggest? I am assuming it will be very bright so you would need to darken the sound a bit. Definitely a Monette mouthpiece would be in order.

Gold lacquer should darken the sound quite a bit, at least when compared to clear lacquer.
Of course, the darkest lacquer of all is that black lacquer.
