Re: eBay: Tuba Beer Stein
Did it ever get updated to TFFJ? Or would nostalgia be part of the charm? The Big Ben wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2024 3:10 pm If it could come with "TNFJ" engraved, it would be GOLDEN.
I keep glancing at the subject and thinking Ben Stein, who i think of as Pip from Animaniacs.
Wonder if he played tuba?

Re: eBay: Tuba Beer Stein
' common theme for beer steins.
Mine is quite old, hand-painted, and mine plays Lili Marleen (Thorens - originally a Swiss gramophone manufacturer - to this day: a maker of high-end turntables). I have no idea when it was made, but I would date it pre-1965 - based on what I've read.
(yard sale: $5)

I would call that a stinker, but I don't think it's post-1980.

Re: eBay: Tuba Beer Stein
That's the same Thorens that made (and still exists as a brand) high-quality turntables for playing vinyl records. I have several of those music-box movements that came in a miscellaneous pile of watchmaker tools a while back.
