Lidl Brass Instruments now at Buddy Roger's Music
Greetings, all and I apologize for the late notice to the community. As posted in another thread, Lee Stofer has transferred the US representation of Lidl Brass Instruments to Buddy Roger's Music in Cincinnati. We are very excited to add Lidl to our list of manufacturer partners and would like to thank Lee for all his efforts to reestablish Lidl in the US market.
What started about seven years ago at Buddy Roger's Music has grown substantially and that is in great part to our fantastic customers encouraging our growth, purchasing instruments and accessories, and spreading the news about our efforts. We do have a room in our showroom dedicated solely to tubas and euphoniums and we're starting to spill out into the rest of the building, too. Everyone is invited to come visit and play test our instruments, mouthpieces, and Schlipf Mutes, or visit us at one of the upcoming regional conferences.
If you are a teacher or college professor and would like to discuss a personal visit to your school, please email me at chite AT buddyrogers DOT com. We would love the opportunity to show you what instruments we carry and how they could find a home in your studio.
If anyone has any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me and I look forward to seeing folks at the shows.

I certainly do, four in fact; 603, 681, 686, and 783. All are four-valve instruments and two are equipped with second valve kickers (603, 686).

Do those model numbers refer to the old Cerveny designs?BuddyRogersMusic wrote: ↑Tue Mar 12, 2024 6:52 am I certainly do, four in fact; 603, 681, 686, and 783. All are four-valve instruments and two are equipped with second valve kickers (603, 686).
edit: just looked at Lidl's website and it looks like it. Cool that there is a "true" BBb Piggy now made by Lidl available w/ the large bore.

Some "legacy" models have been discontinued by Lidl or improved to utilize better components or build methods. An added fifth valve is an option from the factory on certain models and also as a retrofit kit. I don't have any of the kits in stock but Lee still has one or two. We will be ordering both five-valve versions and the kits in the near future.

here's something interesting I found out yesterday, and maybe Chris can confirm..
is the 686 (795 bore as a cerveny model) really a 835 bore as a Lidl?

Re: Lidl Brass Instruments now at Buddy Roger's Music
interesting... so it's more like a piggy with a taller bell
(6/4 bore with a 4/4 body instead of a 6/4 bore with a 4/4 bell and a 3/4 height)
what's the bore size of the 5th valve kits?

I don't have any kits at the moment so I can't answer that accurately. @Lee Stofer has one or two and could verify measurements.
