I just chem-cleaned a Yamaha "NEO" euphonium, and sort of "deluxe-serviced" the pistons (which were sticking, due to lime, slime, and those typical (with monel valves) casing tarnish deposits on the piston surfaces.
Here's my detailed review, regarding playing characteristics, intonation, and sonority:
