I offer lessons via email. Send the gift cards and then email me what's giving you trouble.

I'm going to buy a new tuba.

You probably don’t need a new tuba. I suspect just buying a new mouthpiece will fix everything for at least a couple hours.bloke wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2024 1:02 pmNever mind...York-aholic wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2024 12:55 pm I offer lessons via email. Again, send gift cards and I’ll send you my unblemished Herco BBb mouthpiece. It has been professionally selected to match the key of your Miraphone/Mirafone.

Re: wars and rumors of wars
I've decided to go for a Sussex Victoria model CC piston tuba. They don't have any silver ones in stock, so I'm waiting until they do. I'm also ordering orange and green leather Cronkite bag for it, because I'm in my sixties and after I've run the chainsaw or buffed a sousaphone for a few hours, that tuba in its case feels pretty heavy. It comes with a mouthpiece that has been balanced to the instrument, so I just don't trust anything else. They told me that's the one to use.
You would be willing to meet me in Abilene Texas. I found a Best Western that has a meeting room we could use for the lesson. I don't do Zoom lessons because I want you to hear my exact sound as it is so you can offer the best possible instruction.

You better get one of those 6/4 foghorn lap sousaphones made by that Chinese company that shares their name from an upstate NY conservatory. It’s apparently the new fad.

Re: wars and rumors of wars
... and since Mahler, Strauss, and Ravel all visited America, it better be a C-length one of those, because C is American just like Mama and apple pie. That's why the Star Spangled Banner is in B-flat, correct?russiantuba wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2024 3:04 pm You better get one of those 6/4 foghorn lap sousaphones made by that Chinese company that shares their name from an upstate NY conservatory.
