Mrs bloke and I drove three hours and visited @cktuba today, as his house was absolutely directly underneath the path of totality. It was a great visit, and I'm just letting everyone know that I'm going to post about it in the off topic forum probably tomorrow (which will be Tuesday).

We decided last minute to drive and see it.
10+ hours from here to Vincennes, IN
Stayed for about an hour, 4+ mins of totality
14 hour return trip (so much traffic!)
Probably the weirdest thing I've ever experienced in my life. Loved it.

It was a great visit with Bloke and crew. There was even some tuba time. And I can neither confirm nor deny any drinking of whiskey...
