SOLD: Miraphone 186

Post by Tuba_guy85 »

Hello, I am selling my Bb Miraphone 186. This horn is from 1973, and has the "Mirafone" engraving that the early imported Miraphones have.

This horn was my project horn, and had a lot of work put into it so it could be brought back to playing condition. The horn was just chemically cleaned, and had some patches put on the bell. also had some modifications done to the horn, the lacquer on the bell section was very bad, so stripped it down to raw brass, and the 1st valve has been vented. And this horn has 2 small solders that have become disconnected, I can get them fixed up if you want me to get it done for you.

This horn does not come with a case, and can come with a mouthpiece if needed. I will accept trades for this instrument, if you have another tuba, l'd be happy to consider it.

Asking for $1,200, and located in Fort Worth TX. Not really wanting to ship this instrument, as tubas are expensive to ship.
