Hi, I wanted to share this article about the tuba auditions at the Curtis Institute on Philadelphia.

Pretty interesting, but the description of the entire audition process gave me anxiety and flashbacks.

Am I reading it right that the winner was already Mr. Knox's student at a different school?

For fun I toured Curtis with my son. The students leading the tour flat out said the best strategy for getting into Curtis was to be a current student of the Curtis faculty, either in another program (like here) or through private instruction.
