I can relate.... On a bit of a lark I took a trumpet lesson since I had an old Conn Director trumpet that I picked up at a yard sale laying around. I blew one note and the teacher (principal trumpet in a regional symphony) said "Well... let's start like you are a 4th grader picking up the trumpet for the first time." :laugh:
As amateur as they come...I know just enough to be dangerous.
