easiest rotor venting job ever

Post by bloke »

She showed up with a four rotor late '70s 186c tuba that she had just picked up, and wanted the first rotor casing vented. I found four little rectangular pieces of brass colored duct tape covering the factory vents on all four rotors.

Would you mind posting a photo of that? I'm curious as to how Miraphone did the vents.

325 mi. r/t, and knocking on their door (tonight, upon arrival) might prompt a 9-1-1 call.

...There still seems to be a certain percentage who - along with valve oil brand superstition - are vent superstitious and water key superstitious.

Are they the same who play through "routines" that last through most of their playing sessions, and then run out of time prior to working on stuff that they don't do very well?

I can only imagine how dumb she felt at having not even looked closely at them herself.
