Yamaha C Tuba YCB-623S

Post by Blioss »

It has been 30 years since the release of Yamaha's C tuba YCB-822S, during which a lot of experience and technology have been cultivated, leading to the creation of what Yamaha considers the ideal instrument!
As a result of considering the performance of the player and the instrument, we have evolved the functionality and operability with an entirely new layout.
Not only has it achieved overwhelming ease of playing in the low range, but it also provides a uniform playing feel across all ranges. It will bring out your expressiveness to the fullest.

"Features of YCB-623S"
・Body design
Maximize the smoothness of the tube's thickness and curves to achieve a quick sound response
・Floating lead pipe
The design maximizes the bell's vibration by not directly soldering the lead pipe to the bell.
・Multi-shank receiver
Both American and European shanks can be mounted (not all of them)
・Thin plate thickness
Thinner materials are used than usual, improving sound response
The reinforcement plate on the bottom part is also flattened, allowing you to directly feel the vibrations of the instrument with your knee.
・Water key for the third valve
Equipped with a water key on the 3rd valve bypass tube, which could only be drained after placing the instrument on the floor.
・Second main tuning slide
The range of tuning has expanded, solving the problem of over-tuning in the summer and the issue of still being low even when tuned in the winter.
- Movable finger hook
Adopts a large ring-type movable finger rest to improve robustness and durability
・Metal presser
The valve layout features a metal deposit with a designed recess that fits comfortably in the hand for easy operation.
- Piston with vent hole
→The design allows for fine adjustments of the tuning slide during performance without needing to press the piston, as the air pressure inside the slide does not change.
・Low resilience pad
→Uses red memory foam material on the piston pads for clear transitions in sound.
・Included mouthpiece
→Comes with a newly designed mouthpiece, BB-69D2, featuring a deep cup for a symphonic sound that is efficient and responsive even on large tubas.

Asking Price is 6800 DOLLAR
the tuba is located in kansas city

This smells absolutely fishy.

@Blioss, where are you located? How does one contact you?

I wouldn’t touch this with a 10 foot pole, but you all should know what nonsense is out there

Kansas City?

The receptacle in the background disagrees…

That’s a Type A receptacle. USA has been Type B for some time (decades) and those in the photo are not up to code. Adding to that, the finish on the walls isn’t typical of US construction.

This ^. Having been to Japan on a Sister Cities Cultural Exchange trip in 2013, I concur on both points.

I’m also of the opinion that it’s good just to let other people see what games are being played online.

Best guess: Nigeria, king of scammers. At least he's not a princess who needs to sell it in order to get her dear grandfather released from being a political prisoner, or to pay for her poor child's brain surgery.
