Between this and Donald's imported Swiss F cornet, lots of interesting(ly odd) things came out of the Getzen business.

Well, the 1220 alto cornet was actually a good instrument.

The 383 frumpet, on the other hand...

I've never seen one, but I'm pretty sure a friend who was handed a frumpet for marching band would say those $53 and $66 final bids were not money well spent.

I am always on the lookout for a deal... but I didn't bid. I have a nice playing King Mellophone that scratches the F itch. A Conn Mellophonium for under $100.. I would be all over that like butter on pancakes.

Speaking of thee Mellophonium - Here is an "Estan Kenton" Model (sic).

Do I put in a bid and risk the spousal disapproval of yet another useless brass instrument purchase?
