I dig that big long valve circuit that hugs the bottom bow. Might be easy to dent up though if you're not careful.

They (or the other company name they used for a while) built some rotary valve horns with a similar fourth valve circuit.

What is a fair price for these tubas?

I don't know the answer to that, but I'd be a lot more interested if it were the lower end of the $4k to $5k range.

There isn't any good answer, but a $5K limit seems kind of silly to me. I guess that's how things roll when you're buying something on ebay, without trying it - you take a significant risk, and an absurdly low price is the incentive. And maybe it depends on how you feel about Chinese tubas.

I jumped on a BBb version of the older Pro 2000 last year. Severely banged up and from a seller who had no idea what it was about. Several thousand I paid for it - I forget, honestly - and I regret nothing. I'm sure there are other incredibly awesome BBb tubas out there, but ... I shudder to think I might have missed out on this, for example because the price was high. A CC K2001 isn't quite as rare as that, but it isn't all that common either. If it's what you want, pay what you have to pay.
