Pics? Please share…

Ok, a picture from the current stable below.

From left to right:
1980 Besson Eb (including schoelace), Goldbrass Miraphone Eb Norwegian Star, B&F kaiser, Goldbrass satin silver Hirsbrunner HBS 192/5

The Miraphone is the only one still in original condition, I have not found anything to improve to it so far...

TheBerlinerTuba has restored the B&F, you can read all about it on his blog here:

I followed the progression of your B&F Kaiser very closely. That is a special tuba!

I really like how all the rotory ones have the same 5th valve design.

Yeah, the Besson complained because it's the only one without 5th valve, but it got compensation for that

I have been following Jake's blog about his restoration of your wonderful B&F since he started that project. Congratulations on having such a great tuba. Heck, great tubas!

I'd like a MTS with longer legs sometime, so that I don't need to secure it to the main bugle with a shoelace... upgrade is in the thinking phase...
I believe Besson makes a longer slide for the 981/982 to get the horn to 440Hz, by special order.

My tuba is from 1980 and made in England... a new slide would not fit my instrument, it would need to be custom made...
My understanding from the research I did was that the slide in question made specifically for the older horns like yours - but I'm perfectly willing to be wrong about this.
