Correction: considered a Miraphone bag but could not find the right size in stock anywhere. I bought the Gard “Small tuba” model. If the specs are correct, it should fit like a glove. We shall see.

I'd wager they're already aware of that not-catered-to market.

A decade ago, Taylor Music offered some generic 3/4 bags, eventually decided to not fool with them anymore, and sold out of them.
Same with tuba exchange. Fits my two (2) smaller Eb tubas perfectly.

Well, my Gard Small Tuba bag came today. It’s going to have to goHyvgva back. It’s supposed to fit 35” high, 16” bell, and that’s what I have, but it’s way too small. I thought maybe I could get the next size up, but honestly I’m just not a big fan of their “mid suspension” system. Thick blocks of foam attached to the case with Velcro sort of wrap around the tuba, preventing it from touching the sides. Sounds good in theory, but practice the extra foam just gets in the way when trying too put the tuba in and take it out, particularly the valves. I guess a top valve instrument would fare better than my front valves. I’m very disappointed in both the quality and the design. Don’t know what to do next. :wall:

Dang. Well that stinks. Too bad Altieri isn’t up and running again.

That’s a bummer. Perhaps call Tuba Exchange and see if they are going to order anymore 3/4 bags to be made?
