There's more than one reason why I just sort of steer clear of silver tubas. There's too many things on every single one of them that I decide need changing. Go back and look at that repair forum thread at all the things I did to the huge Miraphone B-flat. Can you imagine what a silver finish would look like on that thing right now after all that stuff?
