This King 2280 (one of two I have for sale), thought to be manufactured between 1996-2000, is in great shape. It is a fantastic intermediate instrument, great as a step-up horn for a student, or for the amateur player. Lacquer is at 90-95% (I've tried to show where the wear is most apparent), there are little dings here and there in the lower bell section and the bow but they are almost invisible from a distance. All the tuning slides move as you can see in the relevant photo where I pulled them all. I didn't pull the 3rd valve slide because of the spring, but it does move. The valves are not sticky and also move well and quietly. The first valve has some plating wear but it doesn't impact the function of that valve and it's not noisy. There was a crease in the bell (see the bell photo at the top) but I had that fixed and don't think it's very apparent.
