I am selling a B&S Perantucci PT-605 4/4 BBb tuba. It was originally purchased in 2005 or 2006. I just got the instrument back from the repair shop for a cleaning. It is in very good condition (a few minor dents/scratches from typical high school/college use), with no mechanical issues. It comes with an MTS hard case, a gig bag/soft case, and a Perantucci PT-83 mouthpiece.

I am asking for $7000, but am open to reasonable offers. I am not looking for a trade.

I live in the southwest Michigan area, and am willing to negotiate delivery/shipping/price for a serious buyer.

These are exceptional tubas! Nice sound, good intonation, excellent response, killer low range and great ergonomics!

You need to post more so that we can get an idea of who you are. We don't like buying from people who are "nameless and faceless". We have had issues with people signing up to sell one thing, ripping someone off, then disappearing. This is an attempt to minimize risk to our community.

This is not a Facebook "buy and sell" group. We DO have a lively trade going on here, but the community is the main thing. If you want to buy or sell here you need to try to let us get to know you some. If all you want to do is sell something Facebook has a lot of tuba-specific groups with zero social interactivity. This is a social group that focuses on all aspects of the tuba and euphonium. The sales forums are just one aspect of what goes on here.

Please participate in the many threads that are going on. Post one of your own. Be a part of our community. Welcome!

I'm thinking that's below dealer cost from a dozen years ago (back when there were dealers...and without that case and bag).

I played an early one of those...good.

Isn't your price also in the same price range as the Chinese knockoff?

Yes, it is a good horn.

I have no knowledge of Chinese knockoff versions of this horn, though I'm sure they exist. I think the pictures in the drive link vouch for its authenticity.

Allow me to apologize, as well. I interpreted this defensively, as the talk of people trying to scam others on this site was recently brought up, and I've had to deal with two scammers on Facebook already.

She is a wonderful horn, and I am looking to re-home her to a good place. Tubas do take up a decent amount of space!

Yes, the horn is still for sale. I'll look into the issues with the pictures and get back to you when I think I've fixed it.
