brass instrument mouthpiece pressure training devices

I'm not one - thankfully - who has ever suffered with/through the thing that people have labeled "focal dystonia".
These gadgets (I'm guessing that they either create an air leak or stop the air when mouthpiece contact pressure is beyond a certain point that the manufacturer has decided is "OK"...??) - it just seems to me - would be one thing that could ACTUALLY CAUSE me to develop that thing which people refer to as "focal dystonia"...
...I could just just imagine the worry (paranoia?) involved in regards to (even though only during practice) that thing suddenly preventing me from playing. ...sort of an "anti-Skinner-box"...ie. For the entire time I'm playing, I'm expecting some sort of punishment/failure.
' anyone agree with my imagined assessment/possibilities ?
