I just sold a John Packer JP379B (arguably, a better-made-than-Arion copy of an Arion compact B-flat) to a private school that's about an hour and a half away.
Thanksgiving traveling will take me (literally) within 90 seconds of that school, and I'll be dropping it off during an evening band rehearsal...so the young lady (who will be using it) will be very surprised and pleased.
Recently, the same school also bought a JP274S compensating euphonium from us, and (as the band director's home was five minutes from bloke's orchestra concert venue - and he was planning on attending anyway) the band director picked up the euphonium there.
The concert was only an hour long (with only ONE 3-hr-with-20-minute-break rehearsal). We premiered a fairly lengthy overture, and performed the Saint-Saëns "Organ Symphony" with organ virtuoso, Paul Jacobs, who is at Juilliard.
Today - discussing this evening's tuba drop-off - the band director offered some concert feedback, regarding things which I strive for, when playing orchestra concerts (so these were "positive" strokes)...

] low brass entrance after the blah-blah."
☑ "After that (since I know you), I watched you from time-to-time, and notice how still you sit, and how you don't fidget."
bloke "missions accomplished"
COVID + Organ Symphony odd seating config.
