To all the Bb tubafellows,
Does anyone has any experience playing and comparing the Eastman 825V and Eastman 825?
The 5 valved Bb (V) and 4 valved Bb (non-V). Found some nice review videos about the Eastman 825V but not any about the 4 valved 825.
Lately I came into contact with the B&S GR55G and Eastman 825V. Both tubas are rather similar and I find that with the 5th valve, it may not necessary do better than the 4 valved. The false tone C and B natural with 12 and 23 pops well on the GR55 and sounded slightly better than the 1345 and 12345 on the Eastman 825V. Other than that, I couldn't find much flaws with either, they are almost as good as each other, maybe I will lean over to the Eastman slightly.
Would love to hear more from the community about these tubas.
Any experiences with the Eastman 825 Bb Tuba
