I found it (protected by a zipper pouch) when cleaning out the glove box of a car - a car that I just loaned to my boss.

I must have (??) put it there - several years ago - as an "emergency mouthpiece", and forgotten all about it.

One side reads:

in very shallow engraving.

I ever-so-gingerly slipped it into a receiver; it is a STANDARD/AMERICAN shank mpc.
