Hi Folks,
Just a note that I've uploaded all of the Boris Grigoriev 78 tuba studies on my Youtube channel. Thanks to Stas Cheremushkin for suggesting them -- somehow I never got to them in high school or college.
I now have the Grigoriev, the 42 Blazhevich etudes, the 24 Vasiliev and the 40 H. W. Tyrrell all posted for study/reference -- about 185 etudes in all. My hope is that these videos are helpful and that hearing another player's interpretation might help someone else shape their own.
There are no ads on any of the videos. The link to the channel is here:

Thanks

These are fantastic! Thank you for uploading them. I've been using your Blazhevich recordings as a reference when I'm working on those. They've been very helpful.
I do have a technical question. What are you using to record yourself? Any particular microphone, audio interface, software, wax drum? The pedal Bb at 1:40 in this one

Thanks, Scott! I use a Beyerdynamic M88 with a $99 Shure x2u signal adapter that goes into the USB port on my Macbook. The etude you mention is without any software editing. The later etudes I added a bit of "ambience" and "reverb" with Garageband than comes on the Mac. I'm glad you find the etudes helpful. If you know of anyone who wants to buy that little 3/4 Eastman, it's still for sale at Baltimore Brass...
Be well.

Thank you! I'm using a Samsung Go USB mic, which is way better than any built in PC or phone mic, but it does tend to clip, and it will break up a bit with lower notes.

Your horn was one of 3 or 4 on my radar right up until the furnace took a dump.
Sigh....

The M88 is a great mic. I've had good results with it on tuba.
Thanks for posting these recordings! You sound great.
