Juilliard / Blackbaud letter

Post by martyneilan »

Did anyone else receive a letter from Juilliard and Blackbaud? Apparently there was a data breach at the fundraising company Blackbaud that impacted some of their clients including Juilliard.

I fail to see why they tracked me down and sent me that letter, as I was only at the precollege in the late 80's and unsuccessfully auditioned for the "upper school" in 1989. I have had no financial connection for over 30 years since my application fee, and never donated to them.

P.S. I thought it was The Juilliard School and not just Juilliard.

I was in the Army Band of New York City while you were up there. I had not realized that, Marty. We might have run into one another. I lived in Brooklyn from March of 1986 through the summer of 1988.

And it *is* "The Juilliard School" and not just "Juilliard". It sounds like a phishing scam. Call either the company or the school directly, and not via any number listed in the letter/email. And do not reply to it.
