Idiotic Photo of the Day

Okay, so we have a failure on three levels, here.
1.
The photographer has never in his entire life used a hammer.
2.
Likewise, the actor has never in his entire life used a hammer.
3.
No one on the team assigned to this project has ever in their entire lives used a hammer.
This nets us the below photograph, which is just
stupid as hell if you have even once,
in your entire life, used a hammer. I mean
come on, guys. Try to not be clueless, incompetent gits while you are on the clock. Just try, okay? People like you are causing me to lose faith in humanity being able to hang on at the top of the food chain for much longer…

Because it was FUNNY. I posted it intending for my acerbic wit and humor to shine through. Obviously, I have failed in my self-assigned task to make you laugh. Once again, as Rick Denney would say, I have been "too hip for the room".

And no one smashes their finger from the top. If you are holding something that would put your finger in danger, your finger would be on its side…
This is a hilarious photo. The only real-life answer to the old "What is going on here?" question is that this man has intentionally smashed his fingertip.
THAT is the humor.

Guys, show some respect. The man in the photo is a professional musician. A percussionist. And he is playing the "martillo," an instrument in wide use across all of Latin America.
Of course, he is still making the serious mistake of hitting his finger.

I may have heard somewhere (possibly in this very post, which I'm currently typing...) that it's a practice instrument used for preparing for Mahler 6.

Au contraire; there is failure on four levels. He was not wearing the safety goggles hanging around his neck. The blood spatter from his finger could have hit him in the eye and he would have given himself Covid-19.
