I'm really enjoying using the Holton B-flat, particularly when the music is just "standard fare"
and not "wildly challenging and gymnastic" (ex: David Sampson compositions, etc.)

I still have several before the summer hiatus kicks in. Three will involve the 345 (if I can get her fully up and running in time) three will be 186 gigs. I still have four quintet "pop-up" programs with the Kurath. Then nothing until September, per the usual.

We got our initial skeleton schedule for next season, and the first two big programs are still somewhat small, having no low brass or much of any instrument that involves blowing to produce the tone. However, I am on a LOT of outdoor programs — more so than normal — and from the beginning of December through to the end of May 2022 I should be busier than I usually am. So things here are coming back with a passion. Everyone who was denied the chance to socialize with live music as the excuse to gather seems to want to sponsor some event or other.

I hope this level of enthusiasm for live music continues for a few years. It looks like things will be rather nice in 2022.

I'm REALLY glad for you, Wade...and that you'll soon have an opportunity to play the twice-or-thrice-phoenixed Holton in a performance.

...We have NO idea what those cruise ship folks are planning to do...(??)
Those (at least) kept me tooting for a couple of hours each week of the summer...
...but there are always calls to do this-or-that (in the summer) every couple of weeks or so...
...and folks continue to croak, so...
