Interesting slightly different design on the eb's from the 1920's...smaller bell, slightly different tapers...

And at 36", for some reason that sounds an inch or so taller than the York Eb dimensions i recall...
And Maine isn't too far afield to roam.

By the mid 20s they made their top action Monster Eb tubas with a smaller diameter (18”) bell, at least in the catalogs I've seen. Front action horns continued to use the squat 20” (19.5”) bell that we are all used to.
The catalog page for this horn says it should be 33 3/4” tall. It would likely use the bell from the high/low pitch 700 series horns which were 32 3/4” whereas the low pitch 700s were 37 1/2”.
