Introspectively (other than REALLY old art (vs. craft) engraving of actually "scenes"...), I believe I'm most "excited" by never-refinished standard engraving patterns on known-to-be-superb models of brass instruments and saxophones.

Says the Bloke that snuck his compact Holton in to Sherry for re-engraving just before she retired...

I did...and it's not a secret. Crisp engraving looks - well... - good.
Luckily (though the place that apparently "overhauled" the little Holton - decades ago - did a horrific job - as: anyone who removes a bottom bow cap and tosses it in the trash - by definition - does a "horrific" job) they didn't "buff the crap out of it", but - clumsily - they did go across the engraving.

I know...
