Stand for a 6/4?

I'm trying to decide whether it makes sense to either build or buy or better resting stand for my Martin. I'm considering the K&M "king-size" tuba stand (14945.000.55), but I'm not sure how well it would work. Anyone have any positive experience with a stand for a 6/4? I have a Hercules I have been using, but it's a little small for the horn unless I want to bend out the u-shaped supports (as below) which involves inducing a higher chance of metal fatigue than I'm comfortable with.

I believe I have that K&M stand. It will fit a 20j, but it takes a lot of force and isn't the most stable thing. It fits and supports my Mienl Weston 25 and Eastman 623 very well.

I have the K&M king size stand where my Rudolf-Meinl Bayreuth resides. You can see it in my avatar.

That said, I've no real idea how my 6/4 aka 5/4 Bayreuth compares size-wise to your Martin.

I’ve got two of the K&M “king-size” stands (14945) (considerably more expensive and larger than the “regular-size” one) for 6/4 tubas. IMHO they are the best storage-resting stands available; very sturdy, and fold up quite compactly.

It easily fits both my Yorks and my Holton, with plenty of room to spare. When I get a chance I’ll make a picture comparing the size of the two models.

"Displaying" (really just putting the thing down without having to disassemble it and set it in its cases). When playing I either use my lap or a BBC stand.

The Wenger things that sit on the floor are safe (as long as the screws are tight) and sometimes go for "cheap".
The wall-mount things (sorta designed for sousaphones, but which WILL fit most any tuba) are occasionally available.
I had a band director grow weary of them, and they GAVE me several of the wall-mounts...and (per typical) replaced them with some inferior stuff.

The one on the right is the Kaiser stand, on the left the “normal” one - it is considerably larger, especially the legs. Although the cradle pieces have fabric on them, the newer ones also are coated in rubber like the regular stand.
