SOLD

$250 - Martin Helicon in D with additional Eb valve section

Pretty sure this is a very rare helicon in D, rather than Eb. Paul sent me a catalog page a while ago showing that the Martin Eb helicon could be purchased with slides in D. I've compared this to other Martin helicons in Eb, and all the slides look longer, but I've not had one to compare. Here's an old video of it:

Bell is 17 inches in diameter.

Included is an additional valve block from some type of Eb sousaphone or tuba - could be a later Martin from the 50s or so. It's missing a lot of parts, but could be used for a fourth valve.

I had the lower neck replaced with a Conn so it can accept the more popular Conn necks. I'll still include the original part.

Shipping by Greyhound Package Express for an additional cost. Pickup is an option too - Scottsdale, AZ.

I just apend about 10 minutes trying to figue out how to play scales on a D tuba and then play a simple march part. I'm over 70, I don't have enough time left or I'd buy this horn in a heartbeat.
