It’s in E flat :teeth:

I think building a stand might be harder than building the horn :gaah:

Looks great. Any chance you can fill us in on how it plays?

Mine is a previous K&M version of their bassoon/bass clarinet stand. Over the last couple of decades, they have altered their design. I don’t believe I would choose their current version for my instrument.
My stand check several boxes:
- secure
- stable
- collapsible
- loose fitting for a quick grab
I also understand that most of these instruments feature one floor peg. I have two, and my instrument does not rotate off to the right/clockwise when I depress the valve levers.

So are you saying the new K&M is a no-go? They also sell a double-bassoon stand…..

It depends on how it fits a particular instrument.
They way you've made the mouthpipe brace jut out, the mouthpipe probably won't "nestle" (at least, not so as to make me feel comfortable) in the U-shape of any stands that offer that shape at the top.

Hamilton double bass stands are only about $60, and there might possibly (??) be away to rotate the individual arms around to accommodate an individual design. Otherwise, they could be individually altered and rubber-coated.

I have a couple of Hercules bassoon stands that are fine and work on both my Meinl Weston cimbasso and my franken-basso. That having been said, I've gone to a K&M contrabassoon stand when I take the horns out of the house. It's big but extremely sturdy, highly recommended.

Great to hear it - when you have the opportunity, can you measure for me the inside space across where the horn rests? Many thanks!

Cool! I just stand mine on the floor, it doesn't really look like yours though. :tuba:
What's the file size limit here? I screenshotted my picture and re sized it but it's still too large.
