The (Tennessee) Jackson Symphony is playing a bunch of "spooky" fun stuff, and - if you're within a commutable distance - you probably would enjoy it. I'm pretty sure it's going to be at the Civic Center auditorium. (Saturday, 10-16-21 / 7:30 P.M.)
Jackson is on I-40 - where it crosses US-45, roughly halfway between Memphis and Nashville.
Berlioz - March to the Scaffold (It's just fantastic. )
Gounod - Funeral March for a Dead Marionette ("Alfred Hitchcock")
Holst - Mars from "The Planets"
Bach - Toccata & Fugue (yeah...THAT one)
Saint-Saëns - Danse Macabre
some John Williams stuff
"scary" movie medleys
(etc...)

The "pops" concerts are almost always "Boston Pops" style, with the big-shots and posers down on the floor (sitting around tables, drinking and eating) and the balcony seating for "y'all".
nerdy tuba player stuff:
I'll be using my recently-built compact Holton B-flat tuba, a Yamaha euphonium ("tenor tuba"), and a Willson euphonium (ophicleide parts, which require the "compensating" plumbing and phat low range).
"freeway filharmonic" FUN Halloween concert - Oct 16
