Ok still keep going back to one of these after mulling around. Miraphone 187, since I heard too much negative on the Meinl-Weston 25's (plus I prefer a shorter bell). If you have one and could sell it and willing to ship I am pretty much getting like a desperate child about it , I have cash and ready to buy it. We can speak privately and tell me what you want for it (not limited to but possibly including future unborn children and inheretances)

You might find a used 187. You can certainly buy a new one.

At nearly double the price, sure. I'd rather make a healthy offer on a used one that's been broken in a bit.

It would be like driving from Minneapolis down almost to San Antonio Texas then back.

I've made that exact drive (in fact, starting 3 hrs North of MPLS) in 2 days each way. Tis a chore, but can be done.

I see 187s very infrequently for sale. Dillon had one a few months back, I think, but they don't seem to come up very often on most of the common public sites. The Kalison 2K and the 1291 I found recently are about as rare to see for sale used, so who knows, you might get lucky.

@russiantuba came within in 100 miles, and I took off work to meet him and have lunch with him. I'm sure glad I did!

I listen to red eye radio a lot more than I listen to coast to coast... But I did catch a lot of art bell reruns on the radio. They used to play them on the air here on weekend nights late. Was kind of fun to listen to. Actually when I first learned about art, I thought he was somebody else that have similar voice,.
