For those that might be interested in the Wessex XL, I have put together a short playlist of some orchestra excerpts. I'm not an orchestral player, and I haven't looked at these excerpts in quite some time, so please excuse all of my "inconsistencies"... errors . Hopefully this at least gives you an idea of what this tuba can/cannot do

The excerpts were recorded with my phone, which is on the music stand in front of me.

I thought you may have used a plug in accessory phone mic. Them's quiet!!

I added a few more excerpts to the playlist... some that shouldn't really be played on a BBb, but you can get the idea (March Hongroise, Symphony Fantastique, Shostakovich 9, and this one to demonstrate blowing the s*** out of this tuba for fun

I added a few more to the playlist (some bass tuba parts ): Mahler 1, Petrouchka, End of Symphony Fantastique, and part of the Finale from Tchaikovsky 4.
