Here’s the next round. Thanks to all who have commented previously. I’m starting to implement suggestions little by little. Some of the longer miking distances with various placements don’t seem to work in this room very well (room noise/reflection?). All input is welcome.

Re: More Recording Trials… Opinions? Suggestions?
All sound VERY GOOD (not patronizing you), but the room is also heard (which is what happens with tubas in normal-sized rooms).
I FINALLY listened with something better (not great) than my rattling laptop speaker, and (even with these iPhone earbuds) it sounds - well - "great".
...BUT, it (besides "the room") also sounds like (and I'm not hearing any subtle differences when you change things - other than the synthetic reverb) I'm standing right over the bell of your instrument...possibly too much presence...THOUGH (yup) that's how it ACTUALLY SOUNDS when someone stands over the bell of a tuba and a very good player is playing.
...you asked, so...
...so I'm offering free extended storage of that instrument for you...and I'll cover the insurance....
