Anybody know the Sousaphone player during the SB halftime? Fun performances!

Had I known the Super Bowl was today - and that it was spotlighting a tuba player, I would’ve kept checking back to see if it was time for halftime, yet.
I guess it will end up on YouTube…(??)

Spotlight might not be the word I describe it.

Here he is, in all of his Super Bowl halftime glory (however fleeting!), from a post on Facebook this morning. The comments were interesting, as many people seemed incredulous that the instrument was called a "tuba" rather than a "Sousaphone," but both are true, so people just need to calm down! It was a great moment for this often-maligned instrument!

Led the USC Trojan Marching Band tuba section (early '80s)
Now playing an F. Schmidt (=VMI) 3301 and goofing around
on a 1925 Pan American Sousaphone and an 1899 Conn tuba!
