Which Tuba to use for the Dvorak 9 Finale?

On an upcoming family concert in an orchestra I’m subbing for, we are doing the “Finale” to Dvorak Symphony No. 9. In the parts, the bass trombone/tuba part was included and I’m still awaiting to hear from the librarian/maestro if they want me to cover the part.
I can see the debate of using CC to add depth or using F to blend in and create the illusion of playing. The kicker is it’s a one rehearsal and performance the same day, so I can’t go home and pick up a different tuba, and we won’t likely have much rehearsal on this.
The concert is an Outer Space themed concert. I finally heard that on “Mars” from the planets, they aren’t hiring a tenor tuba and want it divided up between the the principal trombone and myself (he already said he will take the solos), so this was the only thing I would bring my F for.

Are you saying you want to double the bass trombone part on tuba? There is no tuba part in the finale

Correct. The librarian gave me the part to play. I’ve emailed a few times and they have been focused on the tenor tuba part in the planets in all the responses and coordinations with the conductor (The librarian is new and the conductor is in his second season there). Rightfully so, the part says “bass trombone and tuba” on every page, so I get the confusion.

More like I said he could have them :). I’m just going to guess on experience, we will get 1 run and work transitions, and with less than a week, I don’t want to gamble on a Bydlo Ab

There’s a C above G-sharp in Mars.
… but what could be much more fun than playing that pitch - at a loud volume level - and then crescendoing
possible to B-flat?

the reason is says bass trombone and tuba is because the tuba part is only on the 2nd movement, and when the tuba is supposed to play, it's written as a different staff. So yes, he handed you the tuba part, but unless you're doing the 2nd movement, he shouldn't have
